FRANCO FONTANA

Italian Landscapes

From Thursday to Sunday 13:00pm - 20:00. The exibition presents his famous "Italian Landscapes", these photographs cover almost the entire career of Fontana from the beginning (1970) to the last series of landscapes in 2000. Each work is about shape, from light and colour and make the audience think that is really so much more than simple photography

GÜNTER BRUS "ANA" 20 March 2010 - 25 April 2010

The first Brus’action was called “Ana” the Croatian version of his wifes’name “Anni” and took place by Muhl’s house in late autumn. Kurt Kren had his own 16mm camera, while Ludwig Hoffenreich and H. Khasaq pseudonym of Sigfried Klein were taking photos.
The action has been planned in two different phases: first the artist covered with white bandage moved in a white space, second he proceed with the black colour, through which he was going to
cover the walls, himself and then his wife’s body.

 

ANDY WARHOL Part III: Ten Genius 17March 2010 - 30 April 2010

This exhibition presents the complete portfolio of Ten portraits of Jews of the Twentieth Century. This portfolio was the result of Warhol's first collaboration with Ronald Feldman Fine Arts in1980, the New York gallerist commisioned it with Istraeli art dealer Alexander Harari. In this portfolio, warhol used appropriated photographs of ten legendary Jewish leaders from the world of literature (FRanz Kakfa, Gertrude Stein), Film (The Marx Brothers), philosophy (Martin Buber), theatre (Sarah Bernhardt), medicine (Sigmund Freud), law (Louis Brandeis) and science (Albert Einstein).

 

 

ANDY WARHOL  Part II: Friends | 8 Dec 2009 - 31 Jan 2010

The other exhibitions continue with different themes, like friendship, delicately present in 3 wonderful illustrated hand-coloured  of the 50’s. In the Bottom of My Garden  a widely expressive account of fairies and angels, A Gold Book created on gold paper is one of the most elaborate Warhol edition and Wild Raspberries a limited edition “cookbook” realised with his close friends Suzie Frankfurt. This project will continue with the part Men at work, where will be presented genius personality like Albert Einstein or just anonymous workers.

At the end of this tour inside Warhol’s world K35ArtGallery will show a big surprise!

ANDY WARHOL Part I: DIVAS |15 Oct - 3 Dec 2009

Exhibitions within the project give exhaustive representation about creativity of Andy Warhol, the world known prophet of a consumer society of 60’s and the art icon of the 20th century, now being the most sold auctions artist after Pablo Picasso. The first part of the project displays 13 works on paper and takes place from the 15th of October till the 3rd of December. The title of the exhibition reflects Andy Warhol's world: Ladies and Gentlemen, divas whom he admired so much and devoted series of portraits.

 

SAM SHAW Hollywood Stars | Marilyn & Brando | 6 Dec 2008-18 Jan 2009

This exhibition presents two portfolios of the famous American photographer Sam Shaw (1912-1999). In the portfolio The Joy of Marilyn photographs in black and white and colour, show us the Marilyn Monroe "filmed" on the set of Seven Year Itch and another side of the diva caught in moments of happiness and relax. In the portfolio Marlon Brando, The Rebel, Shaw documents the processing of the film as if it was a diary board, a report about the myth of a star as Marlon Brando.

 

OMAR GALLIANI Great Italian Drawing | 16 Mar-15 Jun 2009

Galliani is a contemporary Italian Artist widely known. He has participated in four Venice Biennale, as well as in numerous international exhibitions. Galliani uses a special technique: pencil or pastel, ink and a golden sheet on a wooden board made of a poplar. The exposition presents 10 works made in pencil on board and ends with a special part devoted to the graphics with the lithographic portfolio The Daughter was Naked. Ten erotic objects betray the outstanding Galliani`s skill in the technique of the great masters of the past.

 

MAX KLINGER  Intermezzi | 25 Jun - 31 Aug 2009

Klinger is one of the last great artist of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, he is best known for his graphic works, that he started to create and give the name of Opus followed by a number. In the exhibition is presented a cycle of 12 etchings, called Intermezzi, created from a series of drawings from the years 1878-1879. These works have not a unique   concept   nor    theme: it’s stylistically a blend of Jugendstil and Symbolism, for which the artist is chiefly remembered today, including dreamlike cycles of prints and sculpture.

100 Russian Portraits 2010
